INTRODUCTION
The rooftop tent market in New Zealand is dominated by the well known Feldon Shelter brand. As a new brand TE ATA will face the challenges of a competitive market and will have to work hard to develop brand recognition, marketshare and sales.
Extremekid Productions proposes working together to develop and implement a unique video marketing strategy to the New Zealand Rooftop tent market based on stories and adventure.

EV CAR REVEAL
Partnering with MA Media we filmed at a combination of locations around Highlands Raceway in Cromwell. The video is the international release film for the new electric rally car developed by Hayden Paddon and currently has over 1 million views across all platforms.
ABOUT ME

Born and bred in the country I spent my free time on my grandparents farm before discovering mountain biking and starting a career in Bike Shops. I studied mechanical engineering and industrial design before getting distracted by filmmaking. My current production company, Extremekid Productions is all about sharing stories through film and photography with a focus on shooting ‘adventurous content for adventurous brands'.
I work with companies, brands or individuals to help them to communicate messages or stories including documentaries, corporate branding/communications, social media adverts, instructional content, educational content or wedding films. My background in engineering and product design is particularly useful when working on engineering or construction projects as we quickly understand the engineering concepts behind the product or film.
My team can vary in size from one person to 5 depending on the job and we do travel throughout New Zealand or Australia as required.
Lately I have been enjoying learning more about Motorsport through working with clients like Mainland Muscle Cars, Hayden Paddon and Burkes Metalworks.

We also filmed additional footage after the shoot above enabling MA Media to create a different version of the video for GENLESS.
WATTWHEELS TRIKES
The latest in our ongoing product series for Wattwheels. These videos have both a camera operator and remote controller to enable 3D camera moves to keep the viewer engaged.
BURKES METALWORKS
Burkes Metalworks wanted to showcase the 'old school' skill of their panel beaters and their capabilities as a custom car building workshop.
ALLIANCE PAPER
'Make paper sexy' was the job description from the company CEO. A week later of filming in their Brisbane based factory and we think we came up with something 'sexy'.
APOLLO TRACE AND TRANSFER
Melbourne based Apollo bikes wanted to promote their new Trace and Transfer range on Facebook and their website. After a flight to Melbourne our team got to work on shooting this video throughout the busy Melbourne CBD.
MAKING TRAX SERIES
Filmed on the fly with no planning or control over the situation, this project was all about promoting inclusive tourism in New Zealand.
We utilized all our skills at moving fast and building a film on the fly while also working around the tourism operators during their normal operations.
We also shared a lot of this footage with ABC National News in Australia to be part of a piece on Making Trax and inclusive Tourism.
PROJECT BUDGETING
I've put together some approximate pricing for the types of videos that would work well for TE ATA.
To offer these prices I would be expecting to shoot more than one instructional/education video back to back.
LOCATION FEES
Some locations require a permit for filming, using a drone or shooting photos. These usually range from $300-$500 per day. I usually suggest keeping to private land (with permission) as much as possible to minimise permit costs.
ACCOMODATION
I have a full time 4 wheel drive High Top Hiace that I have kitted out as a mobile office and accomodation. This keeps accomodation costs to a minimum when on location.
It's not suitable for full on 4x4 trails but it's great on dirt roads, ski field access etc and farm tracks.
I've just returned from 3 weeks of living in the van shooting landscapes for Kathmandu. The next steps are installing an external pc display for editing on the go.
FUEL
Depending on the travel distance required, fuel costs may need to be added to projects. I encourage multiple videos to be shot together to spread costs between them.
4x4 CAMERA CAR FOR LONG FORM DOCUMENTARIES
Occasionally a dedicated 4x4 might be required on long format 4x4 adventures. I have a camera car and driver available to join filming projects in both islands when needed. The fee is dependant on the duration and complexity of the trip planned.

The project budget is defined by the goals and your branding. Every image and every video is a reflection of your brand. High quality is time consuming and expensive.
This video is filmed in forrest and briefly highlights the features of the tent. It is intended for short sharp facebook and social media adverts

This video is shot on location and is a more detailed walkthrough and instructional video intended for people after they have bought the product.
This style of video is to be filmed over a series of 4WD trips (est 3) with Te Ata Adventure & Supply. Locations might be subject to weather, film permits and drone permits.

PHOTOGRAPHY - $980/Day
On location photos with our existing lighting equipment including basic editing.
Example. 3 day hike through the mountains for Kathmandu. Photograph anything that looks amazing, direct talent to get photos we want. Start before sunrise, finish 10pm including checking photographs from the day.

THE NEXT STEPS
The next step from here would be to confirm the project goals, video plan and budget. From there we work on the marketing and content plans before implementing them over spring and summer.
