COMMERCIAL IN CONFIDENCE
CONTENT CREATION PROPOSAL
Great to meet you today (Sunday) right at the end of the day.
I mentioned that I’d be keen to investigate shooting video and photos to help get people on Dobson.
Last year my girlfriend and I worked with Stu at Chill Pass making social media stories with action cameras across the fields that were open. This year I went with a season pass to Dobson so I can spend time working on my skiing ability with the aim of getting good enough to make backcountry adventure films. We are based in Christchurch and having been to most of the ski fields around Canterbury, we prefer Dobson.
I'm now able to make it down the blue runs fairly comfortably, the next step is to add a heavy camera bag and get used to the weight.
While skiing at Dobson, I've been making a list of potential shots and keeping an eye on how the light changes throughout the day.
I've put together some examples of my work below to show I can produce high quality video and photos.
If I cant get my skiing up to the level required to navigate the moutain, I can always get the snowshoes out again.
Create a photo and video library for Mt Dobson
Showcase everything that makes MT Dobson awesome
Build Mt Dobson's brand awareness
Increase patron numbers on mountain both this season and in the future
THE OUTDOORS ARE US
At Extremekid Productions we have efficiently and uniquely equipped our team to better achieve your content goals. Our 4WD High Top Hiace functions as both accommodation and a mobile production studio including power and editing when away from our home base in Christchurch. This enables us to:
travel to Mt Dobson in a wider range of weather conditions
Stay onsite at Mt Dobson overnight allowing us to film those amazing sunrises
Carry more equipment
Charge devices and manage data remotely
Our DJI Inspire 2 is a rare drone in Canterbury, allowing us to capture a perspective in the air that few others can get. It can fly in a much wider range of weather conditions compared to consumer drones. The Inspire results in far more awe inspiring video and photos that your standard drone, giving your content an edge over your competition.
ABOUT DYLAN (DIRECTOR)
Born and bred in the country I spent my free time on my grandparents farm before discovering mountain biking and starting a career in Bike Shops. I studied mechanical engineering and industrial design before getting distracted by filmmaking. My current production company, Extremekid Productions is all about working with brands to share stories through film and photography with a focus on shooting ‘adventurous content for adventurous brands'.
I work with companies, brands or individuals to help them to communicate messages or stories including documentaries, corporate branding/communications, social media adverts, instructional content, educational content or wedding films. My background in engineering and product design is particularly useful when working on engineering or construction projects as we quickly understand the engineering concepts behind the product or film.
My team can vary in size from one person to 5 depending on the job and we do travel throughout New Zealand or Australia as required.
Lately I have been enjoying learning more about Motorsport through working with clients like Mainland Muscle Cars, Hayden Paddon and Burkes Metalworks.

MY EXPERIENCE ON SNOW
SKI SELYWN SIX AND PORTERS
Two years ago I jumped at the opportunity to shoot something for Ski Selywn Six having never worked in snow. Being a snowboarder and a little out of practice, I snowshoed around Porters with the aim of testing myself and my equipment filming on snow.
There's a bunch of things I'd change about the video in hindsight but it was a great opportunity to learn about filming on snow.
I'm really looking forward to the next opportunity to film on snow and build upon what I learn producing the video below.
