GLOBAL CULTURE

PROPOSAL

PHOTO: CANTERBURY, NZ

INTRODUCTION

It was great to meet Chris last week when I popped into the store at the last minute before closing.  Thank you to both Chris and Tim for taking the time out of your day to show me around the factory.

This page is an expression of interest in working with Global Culture to pivot their target market towards Kiwis rather than International Tourists.

We also feel that you are in a great place with respect to your current manufacturing facilities to develop a specific Outdoor Adventure technical clothing line with very little risk.  I'd love to help you discover new opportunities in the outdoor space.

THE NEW DIRECTION

Global Culture is currently preparing to shift focus from selling to international tourists to targeting Kiwis here in New Zealand.  The designs will become more lifestyle focused while maintaining that GC cheeky twist. Global Culture has recognized a need to develop the Global Culture Club and community among Kiwis.

Extremekid Productions would like to work with Global Culture on your content to develop the Global Culture Club.  We envision this to be Kiwis out doing various activities in the outdoors that are bonded together via the same cheeky humor and attitude to life.

Activities might include:

  • Beach/Swimming/Surfing

  • Skiing

  • Hiking/Tramping

  • Cycling (urban, road, mountain)

  • 4WD adventure

HOW THIS PROCESS WORKS

Step 1.  Do you like our previous work? If yes:

Step 2.  Do you feel that our attitude fits with Global Culture? If yes:

Step 2.  Strategy Meeting(s) with Tim (Marketing) to develop the content plan that fits with your new marketing plan.

Step 3.  Implement Strategy to achieve goals.

WHY US

PHOTO: SOUTH AUSTRALIA

At Extremekid Productions we have efficiently and uniquely equipped our team to better achieve your content goals.  Our 4WD High Top Hiace functions as both accommodation and a mobile production studio including power and editing when away from our home base in Christchurch.  This enables us to:

  • travel to more locations

  • arrive well rested and energetic for the shoot

  • Remain on location for longer

  • Carry more equipment

  • Charge devices and manage data remotely

Our DJI Inspire 2 is a rare drone in Canterbury,  allowing us to capture a perspective in the air that few others can get.  The Inspire results in far more awe inspiring video and photos that your standard drone, giving your content an edge over your competition.

AUSTRALIA

We have great connections in both South Australia and Melbourne.  The Town where I grew up (South Australia) has a great vibe and would work well for lifestyle photos.

ABOUT DYLAN (DIRECTOR)

Born and bred in the country I spent my free time on my grandparents farm before discovering mountain biking and starting a career in Bike Shops. I studied mechanical engineering and industrial design before getting distracted by filmmaking. My current production company, Extremekid Productions is all about working with brands to share stories through film and photography with a focus on shooting ‘adventurous content for adventurous brands'.

I work with companies, brands or individuals to help them to communicate messages or stories including documentaries, corporate branding/communications, social media adverts, instructional content, educational content or wedding films.  My background in engineering and product design is particularly useful when working on engineering or construction projects as we quickly understand the engineering concepts behind the product or film.

My team can vary in size from one person to 5 depending on the job and we do travel throughout New Zealand or Australia as required.

Lately I have been enjoying learning more about Motorsport through working with clients like Mainland Muscle Cars, Hayden Paddon and Burkes Metalworks.

A LITTLE INSPIRATION FROM ELSEWHERE

A LITTLE INSPIRATION

While we have not discussed or developed a brand identity and club at this point,  you can find some examples of content that could fit with Global Culture's new branding from around the web below.

FROM ACCROSS THE DITCH

Your colour choices and artistry vibe have a similar feel to a Australian Surf brand called Golden Breed.  Although,  they are without the cheeky twist.

My grandma actually used to be a seamstress for them back in the day.

THE NEXT STEPS

BUDGETING

Once we know more about the specific goals that Global Culture has for the next 6-12 months we can work on a bucket list of content that will achieve those goals.

Global Culture needs to set a marketing/content budget that makes business sense for the company.  From there we can see what is possible to implement with the budget to achieve the goals.

This means everything is designed around big picture, long term goals regardless of the budget size.

TIMELINE

From the initial conversation with Chris,  a 4 week start point was mentioned (roughly end of June).  That would be great timing with the beginning of winter, the ski season and the line of merino products.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU

Thank you for the opportunity to work with you and we look forward to discussing this project more.
